Fashion is Communication...

It is information through presentation. It is the interface between the individual and society and it is a canvas upon which this dialogue is manifested. Fashion is a form of expression that spans every historical era an every socioeconomic category. Fashion is an art form that every human being participates in.

The clothing we wear can be a form of deliberate expression or a passive reflection. The way we dress translates information through presentation. A person's style is one of the most impactful forms or original interaction. It can be a political statement, a whimsical outlet or purely a practical means of being. What drives my design explorations is the creative potential for innovation and expression informed by function.

In my design practice, fashion represents a chance to influence larger cultural tides while acknowledging individual experiences. I am interested in juxtaposing historical context with personal values and active lifestyles. I seek to strike a balance between aesthetically clean lines and appealing technical affects. My work makes use of classic, minimalist silhouettes that highlight subtle ingenuity in seam structure and material choices. Combining original styles with time-honored looks, I manipulate lines and shapes thoughtfully in order to subtly blend these ideas to elicit visual impact, comfort and style.
